Our Tochni Tavern is proud of its mouthwatering dishes, desserts and pastries. To enjoy authentic, traditional Cypriot cooking, a visit to the tavern is a must. Dinner is often accompanied by live music in true Cypriot style.

Cyprus Villages was established in 1987 by Sofronis Potamitis, in an effort to revive rural communities and preserve the traditional houses of bygone days. With loving care, several abandoned and ruined family houses were thoroughly renovated to provide comfort without sacrificing their original, rustic character.

The lodgings are dispersed in 4 different villages in the same location halfway between Larnaca and Limassol towns along the south coast and only a 10-minute drive to the beach. Each one of these villages has its distinct attractions and atmosphere, yet they all offer a heartfelt welcome to a lifestyle closely linked to nature and tradition. Vasilikos house is in Tochni village and the other villages nearby are Kalavasos, Pentakomo and Psematismenos.

Please let the property know the age of the guests, so that Vasilikos House can make the proper arrangements. Please note that Vasilikos House is situated on the slopes of Tochni Village and you need to walk up a steep footpath.

Tochni Village
Tochni, a small and picturesque village, lies between Larnaca and Limassol. Set on the slopes of two hills, its stone-built houses line the narrow streets that wind their way to the beautiful church of Constantinos and Eleni.


Kalavasos Village Kalavasos is one of Tochni’s neighbouring villages, only 3 km away. The attractive village square is a place where residents and visitors mix and meet, for a friendly chat. During the day, a swimming pool awaits our guests, and in the evenings, the stone-paved roads and mild temperatures will tempt you to stroll under the stars. A Just outside Kalavasos, a family-run horse farm is worth a visit, and offers you the opportunity to explore the nature trails in the region on horseback.

Offering a seasonal outdoor pool, Vasilikos House is located in Tochni. Larnaca is 32 km away. Free WiFi is available throughout the property. All units feature a seating area. Some units include a terrace and/or balcony with mountains views. A refrigerator and kettle are also offered. There is also a kitchen in some of the units, fitted with an oven and toaster. Vasilikos House also includes a barbecue. Guests can enjoy the on-site restaurant, with packed lunches available on request. Bike hire is available at the property and the area is popular for horse riding and cycling. A number of activities are offered in the area, such as fishing and hiking. Limassol is 29 km from Vasilikos House, while Nicosia is 43 km from the property. The nearest airport is Larnaca Airport, 30 km from Vasilikos House.

From Larnaka Airport:
- As you leave the airport, follow the signs to Limassol or Lemesos. - Halfway towards Lemesos, the highway B1 will turn into highway A1.
- Drive on the highway A1.
- Leave at exit 14, signposted “Chirokitia-Tochni-Psematismenos-Maroni-1000m”.
- As you leave the highway, turn right at the junction.
- Follow the road under the bridge until the next junction at which you turn right again.
- After passing the petrol station, there is an archaeological site and there you must turn right in the direction of Choirokitia-Layia.
- Then turn immediately left where there is a small church and a sign to Tochni Village.
- Keep driving straight on until you see the sign for Tochni Tavern.
- Turn right here and then take the 1st left and continue straight ahead to the car park of Tochni Tavern.
- At the end of the car parking area near the fence there is a staircase leading to the tavern/pool area where you will see the Cyprus Villages reception sign (after 23:00 press the bell on the reception sign).
- Walking down the stairs you will find our Tochni Tavern and Cyprus Villages reception.
- Here you will be met by our representative who will welcome and escort you to your village/apartment. The keys to the apartments are always left in the apartment door.
